Thousands of Thomas Cook staff are losing their jobs and are worried about their pensions.
The Scottish Republican Socialist Movement notes however that Thomas Cook bosses have raked it in!
Manny Fontenla-Novoa, Chief Executive from 2003 until 2011, was paid £17.2 million over eight years and left with £1.2 million.
Harriet Green, Chief Executive from 2012-2014, earned £4.7 million during her tenure. Thomas Cook also paid about £80,000 a year towards her travel and hotel bills.
Peter Fankhauser, Chief Executive from 2014 to the present, made more than £8 million.
And Juo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun -Thomas Cook's main shareholder- is worth £5 billion.
Plus the Times (24/9/19) reports that the board as a whole were paid £20 million over the past five years.
