SRSM Events 2018

Scottish Republican Socialist Movement organised events for 2018. Check back regularly for updates.

These dates were agreed at our recent Ard Fhies. Dates will only change if we have any issues with councils or police.

  • North of Scotland Commun Meeting - Saturday 13th January 2018 @ 1pm
1pm to 3pm upstairs in Kellys Bar, Lochee High St, Dundee DD2 3AS.
All comrades are invited to North of Scotland commun meeting where Gerry Cairns will be speaking on his book, "The Red and the Green" A Portrait John MacLean. Signed copy £7, after the business. Agenda will include, Discussion, Activities planning, Merchandise sales, and Planning for Glencoe & Arbroath gathering.

  • Glencoe Commemoration - Sunday 11th February 2018 @ 1pm
Transport leaves Glasgow at North Hanover Street, north side of George Square at 11 am SHARP!!! 
Transport also leaving Dundee, City Quay at 9.30am
Contact us to pre-book your place on transport as limited places.
Get your kilts on and bring your Saltire's . Lets make this the first big event of 2018 and show the Brits we demand freedom.
March in Glencoe leaves Glencoe Village Car Park (just off A82; entrance from Lorn Drive) PH49 4HJ at 1pm.
March then makes its' way to monument at Upper Cannoch, Glencoe Village PH49 4HU where there will be short speeches.
Then social (BYOB) back at Renton Community Centre, 175 Main Street, Renton, Dumbarton G82 4PF 
  • Arbroath - Sunday 8th April 2018 @ 1.15pm
Marching off from Kings Gate on the harbour to the back of the Abbey for speeches. Scoriach in Fisherman’s Inn.
  • Bannockburn - Sunday 24th June 2018 @ 1pm
Marching off from 1820 plaque, Broad St, Stirling to Bannockburn National Heritage sight for speakers. 
  • John Maclean Remembrance - Sunday 25th November or 2nd December 2018 (TBC) @ 12.15pm
After a short oration at MacLeans graveside, the march, lead by a band, will leave at 1.15pm heading to John MacLean cairn at the square at Shawbridge shopping centre where there will be speeches and thereafter a scoriach (BYOB) at St Mary’s Hall, behind Cairn.
